Assessment Services
5280 BMHC offers comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults to better understand emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and academic functioning. These evaluations are used to clarify diagnoses, guide treatment planning, and support school or workplace accommodations when needed.
Areas commonly assessed include:
-
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
-
Executive functioning difficulties such as focus, organization, emotional regulation, and task completion
-
Learning concerns and academic achievement
-
Emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood regulation, and social difficulties
Assessments typically include a clinical interview, review of history, behavior rating scales from caregivers/teachers (when appropriate), standardized testing, and a feedback session. Each evaluation is individualized based on the referral concerns, developmental level, and presenting symptoms.
Common reasons for referral include:
-
Difficulty with focus, attention, or impulsivity at school or work
-
Concerns about learning style, academic performance, or the need for accommodations (e.g., IEP or 504 Plan support)
-
Emotional or behavioral struggles that impact daily functioning
-
Clarification of diagnoses to support treatment or medication planning
5280 BMHC provides a written report that includes test results, diagnostic impressions (if applicable), and detailed recommendations for school, home, and clinical follow-up. Feedback sessions are scheduled to review the findings in a clear and supportive way, with time for questions and discussion. Reports are typically available within 2–3 weeks after the final testing session.
To inquire about assessment services or schedule an evaluation, please reach out to our intake coordinator, Shannon, at 720.802.5320 or intake@5280bmhc.com.
